How long does onboarding actually take?

For a solo operator with up to ~80 customers: typically 2–3 weeks from kickoff to go-live. For a multi-tech business with 300+ customers: 4–6 weeks. We run the parallel-period validation alongside your existing system so you’re never relying on Snorkel until you’re confident. Hands-on onboarding is included — never a separate paid services engagement.

Do you migrate our data from ServiceM8 / Tradify / our spreadsheet?

Yes. We extract your customer master list, pool details (where available), recurring service agreements, outstanding invoices, and last 12 months of service history. We work alongside your team to map fields and validate, rather than running an automated import and hoping for the best. See the migration guide for the path from each common source system.

Will my techs actually use the mobile app?

This is the question that matters. Mobile tech mode is designed for one-handed use by someone in 35-degree heat, possibly with wet hands, possibly underground next to a pump. Big tappable controls, offline-capable so it works at remote pools, no extra friction. Most tech teams adopt it within a fortnight; the holdouts usually come around when they realise their day finishes earlier because paperwork is gone.

What does support look like?

You get the actual people who built and configured your system. Email and phone, Mon–Fri 9am–5pm AEST, with after-hours for genuine outages. Not a ticket queue, not an offshore help desk. We do quarterly check-ins with every customer and reconfigure as your business changes.

Does it integrate with Xero / MYOB?

Yes — both Xero and MYOB AccountRight are supported with two-way sync for invoices and payments. MYOB Essentials works too, with a smaller feature set. Setup is a guided OAuth flow; details in the integration guide.

Can my customers see what we’re doing?

Yes — the customer portal shows them every service report, water test trend, before/after photo, and invoice. Branded with your business, not Snorkel. Customers can pay invoices online, view their pool history, and see who’s scheduled to visit next. Most pool service businesses find it dramatically reduces "where’s my report?" phone calls.

What happens to our data if we leave?

You own your data. If you ever decide to leave, we provide a full export of customers, jobs, visits, water tests, photos, and invoices in standard formats. No lock-in, no holding your data hostage. We’d rather lose a customer cleanly than make leaving painful.

Is this for small operators, or is it overkill?

Snorkel works for solo operators all the way up to multi-branch businesses with 30+ techs. The platform scales with you — you turn on what you need. For a one-tech business, that’s scheduling + water testing + invoicing. For a 5-tech business, dispatch and tech utilisation reporting come into play. For multi-branch, you add per-branch reporting and group rollups.
